Background

TickEase is the leading and only tick removal device designed to comply with the Center for Disease Control tick removal guidelines. Dan, the founder and CEO of TickEase approached Pet Business Solutions to help him develop an investor ready portfolio. The company was growing and Dan needed to seek capital in order to support TickEase’s growth.

Strategy

Developing an investor ready profile required two parts. First, we needed to develop a Business Plan to be used when opening dialogue with investors or banks. In order to develop a winning business plan, PBS’s team had to understand TickEase’s business model from a 360 degree view. Our team also had to understand the Tick market and the application of TickEase’s tick removal device and its use. Second came a condensed version of the business plan, the executive summary. Once our team did the research about the marketing, market opportunity, reviewed financials, competitive landscape and did a SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity and Threats) Analysis, we went to work on developing the investor ready portfolio.

Results

TickEase was able to get the funding it needed to support its growth and since then has launched into various stores and online markets. This is only the beginning for Tick Man Dan and TickEase and we are glad PBS could have a part in the success of the company.
